For Today -

Outside my window... Beautiful sunshine and wonderful blue skies! A beautiful warm and Indian Summer day! So perfect.

I am thinking... Of my trip out to the countryside for a couple of hours with my hunny. Just sitting in the fresh air eating our lunch and admiring the beautiful countryside views. Watching butterflies fly from leaf to leaf-such a joy!

I am thankful for...Being able to get out and see God's beautiful world.Beautiful changing colours on the trees and foliage everywhere as we have entered Fall my favourite time of year.

From the learning rooms...Still pondering on what the Lord has in store for me with regards to my job and perhaps a change of direction in this.Knowing that I must keep praying, believing and trusting that His answers are much better than mine! This particular issue has gone on so long and hangs over me like a dark cloud. These two bible verses come to my mind as I write:

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

                              Mark 9:23

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
                              2 Corinthians 5:7

How I love the Corinthians verse and have stitched many cross stitch projects with this verse. I am sure you have stitched projects with this verse too Judy!

From the kitchen...Not sure yet! Perhaps a salad-something quick and easy to prepare and not to forget healthy too!

I am wearing... A purple top and blue jeans

I am creating... Working on my cross stitch project and enjoying this. I was finding it difficult to get to work on this over the past two weeks.

I am going... To maybe take a trip to Bournemouth soon and stroll beside the ocean. This is an exciting thought!

I am reading... A new book on angels. I love to buy books about angels and my book collection is huge! Reading my bible and dipping in and out of
"Strength for the Climb." This is a really good devotional book and the author is drawing from her own personal experience of trials and testings. It is full of thoughts and advice for any Climb!

I am hoping... I know I keep posting on this, but a final decision on my job situation. I know that on the surface it looks as if I am in control because it is me that can make that ultimate decision. I know that I am not in control-the Lord is. I can choose but I want to be in the Lord's will and wait for Him to reveal His plans. It is painful and it does hurt as tears are never far away and I realise just how vulnerable I still am after my prolonged illness and time away from work.

I am hearing...The tv. The cars outside going by and the laptop keys as I type.

Around the house... Reminders of all of God's wonderful blessings! So so many!!! Thank you Heavenly Father for your continued blessings and for always being by my side.

One of my favourite things...Time with family. Not so possible this week as my oldest daughter Laura's family have all been sick with a gastro-enteritis bug. This has come after her family were recovering from chest infections. Taio, Natalie's little two month old baby has also been unwell with a cold.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Just enjoying time to recover from tiredness and not being too well myself last week. I have also got to make some important appointments. Mailing out some snail mail and a couple of packages. Not to forget putting some more stitches in my project!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... A couple of photos taken on my outing to the countryside. These are truly Simple Blessings.

  1. Loved reading your simple blessings today.
I'm believing with you as well!
    Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

    Have a blessed weekend!

  3. Hi Linda! Such a sweet, open, honest post. God will show you what to do Linda, & He will make that way. I know you know what I am hoping He does in your life. :-) I want His will for you too - this is most important.

I'm so glad that you got your time at the ocean this week. As you know, I so love the ocean. How I would love to live close enough to it that I could go often.

Have a wonderful weekend Linda. Sending you big hugs!
