For Today -

Outside my window... A beautiful sunny evening! The sun is still shining at 7.30pm and the sky has a few fluffy white clouds.

I am thinking... About a nice surprise today and remembering how blessed I am!! It is wonderful when the unexpected little surprises arrive and your heart is so warmed by an act of giving. Bible verses that come to mind:

"I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,it is more blessed to give than to receive."
                           Acts 20:35

                              and

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,so let him give: not grudgingly,or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
                      2 Corinthians 9:7

I am thankful for... Judy. My sweet and treasured friend! Thank you Judy for introducing me to the blogging world! I am so enjoying this new venture! I am so thankful that the Lord blessed me with your faithful friendship!Thankful too for the new friends who I am blessed to know.

From the learning rooms... That it is not always possible to have my prayers answered with "yes." The Lord is teaching me that sometimes I have to accept "wait" and even "no." I have been so inspired by the people who have commented on my blog that they are still waiting for answered prayer many years later. This is faith!

From the kitchen... Cajun chicken, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob and fresh strawberries and cream. Yummy! !All of these are favourites of mine!

I am wearing...A yellow top and blue jeans.

I am creating... Another cross stitch project!! Now I have several on the go!! I hope I get them all completed!

I am going... To get snail mail out for sure this week!! Can you imagine I have about 7 letters and cards just sitting on the table and  I have not gotten to the post office yet! The problem is that the main post office in the city centre always has a line a mile long!!...........lol. I will have to get to one of the smaller post offices.

I am reading... A book on "Angels."  I love reading about angels. I am also reading "Strength For The Climb." This is a wonderful daily devotional book.

I am hoping... That I can finally get a resolution on Friday to that problem that is still hanging over me.I truly believe that this week the situation will be much clearer. You see the Lord is still leaving this particular door ajar!

I am hearing...My honey in the kitchen with the pots and pans as he prepares supper for us. How nice not to have to cook tonight!

Around the house...Candles burning and a wonderful fragrance wafts through the air!

One of my favorite things... Well Wimbledon is now over-these two weeks went by so fast! So for me some work on my cross stitch projects.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Reading and relaxing. Spending time with my daughters.Family is so important to me.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... A photo of Natalie my youngest daughter and me taken a couple of years ago in Georgia in the mall while shopping!

  1. Good evening~

We have been relaxing and not doing much of anything today...YAY! I have not done any cross stitching for years, but when I did, I just LOVED IT! Sitting and relaxing and reading a book sounds WONDERFUL today! I may just have to do that in a bit!

    Blessings~
