For Today -

Outside my window... A truly beautiful day!! Sunny, warm and a cloudless blue sky!

I am thinking... About the tennis match I have just watched as Federar defended his title and almost lost!! Breath taking tennis and I really enjoyed the match. Now getting to watch Roddick in his match. Can you tell I am a tennis fan?!!  I have been to Wimbledon so many times to watch the games in person and it has been a wonderful experience.

I am thankful for... I could not even know where to begin! Family, sweet friends,my honey, my house and the list just goes on. I thank the Lord every day for all He has done for me and will continue to do for me.It seems so appropriate to share these bible verses that have come to my mind:

"Oh give thanks unto the God of heaven: for His mercy endureth forever."

                           Psalm 136:26

" In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
                           1 Thessalonians 5:18

From the learning rooms...That things in life do not always work out the way you would like despite your desires and fervent prayers. We have to come to a place of acceptance, trust in God and have faith He does know best. Have you ever sat and thought when your heart is broken and your dreams are not realised that whilst we cannot see why, it is so good that God does indeed know best and His plans are far wiser than ours?

From the kitchen... Going to prepare a quiche and a salad as this is perfect for our weather today. Fresh fruit too.

I am wearing... Blue jeans and a blue top.

I am creating... A basket of goodies for my daughter's baby due in three weeks time!!

I am going... To go grocery shopping this evening. I will also go visit my daughters before shopping.

I am reading... "Become a Better You by Joel Osteen." I am loving this as it is a little guide for improving your life every day.It is full of inspiration, exercises to do and daily scriptures.

I am hoping...That my meeting tomorrow in the morning will bring a much needed resolution to a situation that seems to have been going on forever!

I am hearing... The tv as the tennis matches continue.

Around the house... The beautiful smell of my reed diffusers. The rose one is so lovely and reminds me of so much of Summer!

One of my favorite things... Well it has to be Wimbledon fortnight and getting to watch the matches!!

A few plans for the rest of the week... Appointments and some relaxing. I cannot believe that today I turned up for an appointment an hour late!! I had the wrong time written in my diary and I am still pondering how did this happen?? So now it is remade for Friday.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... A photo of me taken at Henley-On-Thames. A beautiful place and one I love. This photo was taken about six weeks after I had undergone my major surgery last year and was among one of my very first trips out after this.

  1. Hi Linda! Yes, we do need to focus on the fact that the Lord knows best - no matter how our dreams & hopes have shattered around us, He knows best!

I should have known it was tennis that has kept you from email today! I watched a bit - I too love tennis, & wish I could watch more. I think I told you once, but tennis is the only college course I ever took. :-)

Hope you are having a lovely evening. Love you much Linda!!
