For Today - Outside my window... Glorious blue skies and sun! Beautiful roses in full bloom gracing the garden. Today so  in contrast to yesterday which started sunny and then later in the day it poured with rain!! And poured and poured!!

I am thinking...And smiling as I remember a comment one of my patients made to me once. I had gone to ask if they wanted any analgesia. The reply: "No I don't need any-you are my pain killer." This is just one of the many times when I have realised I have indeed made a difference in a sick persons life.I have been a nurse since 18 and this is a vocation which I love!

I am thankful for... That the Lord is ever faithful. I was so touched today as I remembered a story of a basketball player and his beautiful little girl who had retino-blastoma.This basketball player had been told his little girl would have to lose her eye.  Then he found out about a treatment which would enable her eye to be saved. So after a trip to New York for the treatment he was informed the treatment was successful and her eye was saved. God is so amazing!

From the learning rooms...I learn something new each and every day. Learning is lifelong!

From the kitchen... My favourite freshly brewed coffee fills the air. Cereal and fruit for breakfast.

I am wearing... My pj's and track bottoms.

I am creating... So many memories. I have so enjoyed putting all my cards from family and friends in binders. What a perfect way to view them again and again.I still have not finished but they look so neat in these binders. The binders I have chosen all have different designs-teddy bears, angels and country.

I am going... To sit out in my garden later today and enjoy the sunshine. These are times I enjoy. To sit and stitch, read or to just relax.

I am reading... "Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen. I have read this before and have been so encouraged by Joel's insights and words.

I am hoping... I will soon feel back to normal after a viral infection. I am now on the road to recovery after much disturbed sleep!

I am hearing... Birds outside chirping merrily! I think they too like this beautiful sunny day!

Around the house...Many many reminders of the Lord's blessings and faithfulness.I am reminded of the following bible verse:

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
                                                       Jeremiah 17:7

One of my favorite things... Pj days! I have not been able to have one of these days for so long. I am remembering during my long illness and subsequent surgery that I did have many of these days.

A few plans for the rest of the week... A more relaxed week for me. The past two have been hectic so I am looking forward to slowing down! I hope to get out on a trip to the countryside and I have come to love these times.I love beautiful scenery and rivers and lakes and to just take time to walk and admire God's beautiful world.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... A photo of  my daughter Natalie and I taken last year at Bourton-On-The-Water.

  3. Hi Linda! Another beautiful post! I so loved the verse you shared. It's so sweet how the Lord will use a verse or a word, just when we need it to focus on.

Love the photo of you & Nats! I so look forward to soon seeing a little guy between the two of you. Won't be long now!

Have a lovely day Linda. I hope you get to enjoy a trip out to see the beauty of God's world, & then home to slip into pj's. Love you!
