For Today - Outside my window... Beautiful sunshine!! A really lovely day.

I am thinking... About how my life has changed over the past year. This has been so much on my mind over recent weeks.I have had to rely more and more on the Lord to get me through and for His provision. He has never failed me!! I have been off from work for over a year after illness and this has been one of the toughest times in my life.

I am thankful for...My family and my wonderful and precious friends who have been beside me not only through my valleys last year but always! Judy- a HUGE thank you to you! Thank you for your unfailing support and for encouraging me to hang in there, constantly reminding me when my faith faltered that all would be well. For your prayers and your love and always being there for me!We have rode a roller coaster together for many years.

From the kitchen...Thinking about what I will have to eat? I think a bowl of cereal and some toast with honey. Not to forget some freshly brewed coffee. I can already smell the aroma as I write this!!

I am wearing... My pj's. I cannot have one of those pj days as I have an appointment later today.

I am creating... Continuing on my journey putting photos in albums and enjoying the memories this is bringing back to mind.

I am going...To the hospital this afternoon for an appointment. This is perhaps my last appointment after a year of illness and so many dark days.

I am reading... Still enjoying "Boundaries" and I am also reading "Keep A Quiet Heart" by Elisabeth Elliot.

I am hoping... That all goes well with my doctors appointment today.

I am hearing...People in the street as they go by. Laughter too!

Around the house...So quiet as I am the only one here.

One of my favorite things...Reflecting and learning. I have done so much more of this over the past year. It is something that as a nurse I am taught to do and it has helped me so much in my personal life too.

A few plans for the rest of the week... A busy week ahead as much on my agenda.I have many things planned so this will not be a restful week! I will always find time to stitch and read however!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

This is a photo taken last year at Cotswold Life Park.It is of Natalie my youngest daughter and myself.

  1. Beautiful post. Hope everything goes well with your medical appointment. I agree with you about the aroma of coffee in the morning... shouldn't it be considered therapeutic? ...hmm... coffee therapy?? - I am a coffee lover... so please understand my devotion to everything that has to do with coffee... hehe
Hope you have a good day!

  6. The Lord must really have something fantastic in store for you. Do you realize that all the great Bible heroes had periods of time, some 40 years or more, where they were in a desert experience. Even though they felt God had given up on them, the whole time God was working and preparing a mighty work for them to do. Kind of exciting isn't it. God bless.

  7. Linda, another wonderful post! Not only has your life changed greatly over the past year, but YOU have changed greatly! The Lord surely has great things in store for you Linda. These days & these lessons will not be wasted...He is going to use them & you. I truly believe that.

As you know, I also like to have times of reflection...we can learn so much during those times. We must be still & listen for that still small voice.

Email me about the book 'Boundaries'...sounds very good. Love you Linda. Have a sweet day! Hugs
