For Today -

Outside my window...I have enjoyed watching the antics of two little squirrels!! One squirrel was trying to get to the bird nut container in the next door neighbours garden. He tried and tried and was hanging upside down in all the attempts to jump to the tree branch! It failed and he then chased the other squirrel away!

I am thinking...How blessed I am! It has been a day of much reflection. The Lord is leading and taking me away from a very familiar path and I am nervous but excited!! The Lord has been teaching me more and more to cast my burdens on Him and to have trust and faith ! There are so many things in life that we cannot understand but we must trust the Lord's judgement and be guided by His hand.

I am thankful for..All my treasured friends.I am thankful that all my friends have supported me through some very tough times and prayed for me without ceasing! I am thankful that the Lord has given me sweet and faithful friends.

From the learning rooms... I am realising more and more I am a work in progress! I have so much more to learn and do!

From the kitchen...Hmmm-let me see. Tonight just a  light dinner and it will be salad and Quiche. I am not too hungry as I have been munching on fruit!

I am wearing...A purple top and dark blue jogging bottoms.

I am creating...A beautiful birthday cross stitch for my daughter and thinking about what project will I stitch next?

I am going...To have a relaxing evening. I have walked so much today and it was wonderful! I loved all the flowers and budding trees everywhere-so pretty!

I am reading...The Christmas Blessing (still) and a 365 Day Devotional Journal For Women.

I am hoping... That my hunny has not got chickenpox! He has been in contact with children suffering from this and he has not had this as a child. He said that he felt unwell today so we are watching and waiting.

I am hearing...The sound of laughter as children play outside in their gardens.

Around the house...All is quiet.

One of my favorite things...A long soak in the tub full of bubbles and a "me" night!

A few plans for the rest of the week...To catch up with snail mail and a Spring Clean!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...A photo of Emily and Lauren two of my grandchildren. They are so precious and I love them to pieces!!

  1. Linda, what a sweet post! You & I have those reflective days often, & it's a blessing to be able to share them with you & talk about things. It's been amazing to watch you as you have went through all that you have - YOU have amazed me, & continue to amaze me. You don't have to ride this "roller coaster" alone - I'll ride it with you! I think it will come to a stop soon! Love you much Linda!! What a treasured friend you are!
