For Today -

Outside my window... Still light and a nice day today. Much cooler than recently after high humidity!

I am thinking...That I miss working at the hospital after a change of job recently.I am working in a different environment now but I am still committed to making a difference each and every day to the people I care for.

I am thankful for...The lessons the Lord has taught me and is still teaching me.These lessons have been painful and hard but I have grown and am still growing! I am reminded of this bible verse:

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,to the which also ye are called in one body and be ye thankful."

Colossians 3:15

From the learning rooms...I have so much more to learn in so many areas of my life.

From the kitchen...Mashed potatoes, sausages and gravy and spinach. Fresh fruit for dessert.

I am wearing...My nurses uniform and need to go change here real soon.

I am creating...Memories and memories! How I love to capture all the precious and beautiful moments.

I am going...To chill this evening. A bath and then to cross stitch for awhile.

I am reading...My bible and devotional book.

I am hoping...That all the things I need to accomplish this week I will get done.

I am hearing...The tv on and the laptop keys as I type. The news is not good as rioting continues in London and now Birmingham.

Around the house...Books,angels,candles,photos and so many of my favourite things!

One of my favorite things...Catching up with mailing friends. I have been absent here due to vacation and my broadband service down for weeks on and off. This is now booked to be fixed.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Relaxing and spending time with my hunny and my family

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...Photos of my recent trip to the Lake District:

  1. I am delighted to see a new post from you, and such warm, gentle and quiet thoughts too! The pictures are lovely. Didn't know you changed jobs, so I am praying for a quick transition and adjustment.

Recently I trimmed down my blog list and decided that I was reading far too many blogs, and while most blogs I read are really good, not all contribute to my Christian walk.

I've always loved England, so I do make it a point to drop by here once in a while.

And thanks for the visit. Really appreciate it when friends come over, knowing how busy everyone is.

Have a great day ahead of you...

    Love

  2. A nice glimpse into your world Linda. I'm so glad you got to take a vacation .. you look so relaxed in the picture. Seems there is a lot of chaos in the world of late .. everywhere. The bottom of civility has has fallen out it seems. Praising God for his faithfulness .. even in a world gone mad. May he bring comfort and peace in your life.

    Hugs,

  3. It's lovely to *catch up* Linda...I have missed you. :) I am not online as often anymore...it's a good thing to take stock and *regroup* once in awhile. The Lake District is very beautiful I've been told....how lovely that you were able to take a holiday.

    Many blessings to you!
