For Today -

Outside my window...A Winter wonderland!! Beautiful snow everywhere,so pretty but this has caused havoc here and brought the country to a complete halt!!

I am thinking...Of all I still have to do and will not be able to complete due to the weather and conditions. This has made it more than difficult to venture out! I still have gifts to get and cards to mail out as yet. Need to grocery shop too!

I am thankful for... Salvation. Jesus died on the cross and His blood was shed for my sins. I am forgiven!! Amen! I am reminded of:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
                                   John 3:16

and another bible verse springs to my mind:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
                                 Romans 3:23

From the learning rooms... God is faithful and He hears and answers all our prayers. We just have to understand that sometimes He answers yes, sometimes wait and sometimes no. I have learnt that His will and plans are so much better than mine!

From the kitchen... Roast chicken, carrots, peas and potatoes. Cheesecake for dessert.

I am wearing... Blue jeans and a grey sweater. It is so cold with these way below freezing temperatures I think I need to wear two sweaters, maybe three!!

I am creating...Cross stitch projects. I have been working on my projects over the past day or two. I have been able to devote more time to these as I have not been able to go out.

I am going... To have a relaxed evening. Working on my cross stitch. A bubble bath. A mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows. These are some of my favourite things!

I am reading... My bible and my devotional book sent to me by a treasured friend. As always I am catching up with my magazines.

I am hoping... That the weather will be better by the end of the week so I can spend Christmas Day with my family. If the roads are still icy and snow is still falling it will make travel so difficult if not impossible.

I am hearing...The tv on.

Around the house...Wonderful reminders of friendship-gifts and cards. The Christmas tree lights are on and the tree looks so pretty.

One of my favorite things... Pj days! These do not come along often but I love those relaxed days.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Well I have so much to do as I said earlier in this post, this is now all weather related. Will have to see what the next few days are like and I will attempt to finish my required shopping.Catching up with blog posts is in my plans for the week.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... Photos taken in Georgia on vacation. The first is of my daughter Laura and myself in my sister's front yard. The second is taken from the plane on our way to Georgia.

  3. Dear Linda .. I've only heard bits and pieces over the radio about the terrible weather you are having. I do pray that in whatever situation you find yourself in .. weatherwise .. that the Lord will give you safe travels if you are able to venture out. I sometimes enjoy being snow bound .. but I can imagine that the few days before Christmas might cause a little grief. Blessings to you and your family.

  5. Hi Linda,
I can feel you warm and snug in your sweaters while outside it is freezing! The cheesecake must be yummy for sure, it's my favorite, next to pecan pie.

I'm learning what you're learning, too.

May God give you what your heart desires!

    Blessings,
    Lidj
