For Today -

Outside my window... Pitch black and swirling freezing fog!

I am thinking... About my trip to Georgia to visit my sister for Thanksgiving. This time next week I will almost be in Atlanta after a nine and a half hour flight! I will enjoy this time with my sister and family.Due to my surgery last year it has been over two years since I could go on vacation.

I am thankful for... Continued blessings. Health, family and friends. I am so glad that I have everything in perspective! Thank you Heavenly Father for all the lessons you have taught me!Painful and often long lessons but I am praising Him!

From the learning rooms... I am a work in progress and I have a long way to go! Each day I am learning more and more.

From the kitchen... Not hungry this evening as not feeling 100%. So just a bowl of cereal and some toast.

I am wearing... My pj's and dressing gown.

I am creating... More memories and I love capturing each and every precious moment. So lovely to look at all my albums and re-visit those memories!

I am going...To make a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows and then go to bed. Hopefully I can meet my deadline of an early night as I am also feeling tired. Praying that I am not coming down with anything.

I am reading... My bible. A book by Elisabeth Elliot called "Keep a Quiet Heart". I love reading books by Elisabeth.

I am hoping...That I can get everthing done that I have to complete before my trip. I have so much to do.

I am hearing...Just the laptop keys as I type. I have not got the tv on and it is so quiet here this evening.

Around the house... Reminders of God's love. I so appreciate all I have and it honestly has taken trials and tribulation to get to this place. Sadly work was a huge part of my life and I let this take over everything in many ways. The Lord got my attention and I am amazed at His handiwork to bring me totally back to Him! I am reminded that God works through trials and these bible verses come to my mind about enduring trials

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
                                                James 1:3-4

One of my favorite things... Evenings relaxing in my pj's. Tonight I have managed to have some "me" time! So good. A long soak in a tub of perfumed bubbles!

A few plans for the rest of the week...Appointments and running around carrying out all I need to do before my trip. It is going to be a real busy week!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... Me at the ocean a couple of months ago-windswept but having fun!

  4. How wonderful to be able to spend time with a sister. Me and my sister are estranged and have been for 25 years now. I never really knew why but that is the way she wants it..... I have two wonderful brothers that we share good times with but it would be nice to have a sister..... I love your photo....... and I think windswept is in this year!
