For Today -

Outside my window... Splashes of rain as the much needed rain arrived! Grey skies too.

I am thinking... About a trip my honey is planning for us to go to the ocean!! We will go to Bournemouth for a couple of nights and from Poole take a ferry to the Isle Of Wight. This will be so much fun! It has been about 6 years since I took a trip to Bournemouth and I loved it there! I have wonderful memories of strolling along the seafront at midnight during this particular trip.

I am thankful for... So many things that I do not know where to begin. For family and friends and all that the Lord is doing in my life. His wise direction when I try to go my way! For the doors he has left ajar, the ones He closed and the new ones He will open! I am remembering these bible verses:

"O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth forever."
                                              Psalm 107:1

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
                                              Ephesians 5:20

From the learning rooms...That  I am still a work in progress. Learning to let go and let God. This has been difficult for me at times as I have reclaimed my problems and tried to do "the sorting!" God is in control!

From the kitchen... Cajun chicken-always a favourite for me! Sweet potatoes and vegetable and salad. Dessert-not sure yet!!

I am wearing...A pink and white top and blue jeans.

I am creating... More photo albums of all my special and treasured moments. How wonderful to to be able to have an evening relaxing and looking through all your precious memories! I would like to share some quotes about memories:

"We do not remember days:we remember moments."
                            Cesare Pavese

" We must always have old memories and young hopes."
                            Arsene Houssays

"God gave us memories that we might have roses in December."
                            J M Barrie

I am going... To eat my dinner after posting on my blog. I am really hungry!

I am reading..."Your Best life Now" by Joel Osteen. I am aways dipping in and out of this book. It is a book that offers the reader insights and encouragement to overcome all those obstacles that we all encounter from time to time. I am also reading a novel-"The Christmas Hope" by Donna VanLiere. I have all the books in the series by Donna.

I am hoping...That my little grandbaby will arrive this week. My daughters due date is the 15th.

I am hearing..The tv-I have the news on. The weather forecast is stating more rain to come! Now there is a change from the 32 degrees centigrade temperatures and humidity to match that we have had over the past couple of weeks!

Around the house... The aroma of cajun chicken baking in the oven!! Yummy! Now I am even more hungry!

One of my favorite things...Cross stitching. What a perfect way to relax. So many time saying "one more line of stitches" and then I will stop! How many of us cross stitchers will recall saying this and still up stitching hours later!! Judy-I know you will remember this from when we used to sit up until the early hours stitching merrily way!

A few plans for the rest of the week...Writing some snail mail-always on a catch up mission! Working on my cross stitch projects.Houswork!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing:..A cottage in the country. So pretty and a lovely peacock was strutting around!

I used to cross stitch when my children were growing up. Now I like to sew and quilt. I would love to learn how to do digital scrapbooking, but we'll see!

  4. Hi Linda I have a cross stitch I am working on also. I need to get to it because I plan on hanging it on my wall in my craft room and it's naked there. I hope Natalie's baby arrives safe and sound and on time. You have fun at the beach on your trip that sounds fun! Enjoy. Big hugs

  7. Just got back from a trip to the ocean -- I can never get enough of sand between my toes and that sea air!

Enjoyed reading your list here...and you always have the best quotes. My favorite: that one by Pavese.

Thanks for stopping by so faithfully over @ Life Lessons! You are too sweet! God's word does provide excellent food for thought - it's fantastic that it is alive and powerful.
