For Today - Outside my window...A beautiful sunny day!! A few fluffy white clouds and so pretty!

I am thinking... About the sweet words of encouragement, support and love that my treasured friend Judy has given me. Words that I am pondering and remembering as I think about another valley that has just hit me! Thank you as always Judy for your ever constant guidance and for always being there for me.

I am thankful for... All the wonderful blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me!!! I really am so blessed! As I think about this new trial I remember how the Lord has brought me through time and time again! Through dark, difficult and daunting times and He has been faithful!
I am reminded of a bible verse that reassures us that His ways are perfect:

"As for God,His way is perfect;the word of the Lord is tried:He is a buckler to all them that trust Him.

                                               2 Samuel 22:31

From the learning rooms... We are learning all the time and this is a lifelong process. Again a concept I am taught in my nursing career but how it applies to our everyday life! I am learning each and every day from God's chastening and a bible verse comes to mind that I love:

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
                            Psalm 119:105

Isn't this a wonderful thought that if we find ourselves in the dark and stumbling along we will always have a light to guide us?!

From the kitchen...Roasted beef meatballs with a spiced tomato and pepper sauce and followed by a dessert of fresh fruit!I am sure it will be mango and how I love this fruit!

I am wearing...A maroon sweater and blue jeans.

I am creating...Adding the finishing touches to my cross stitch project. It is always so exciting to see the finished work. It also means I can look through my cross stitch patterns as I think about a new project!

I am going...To sit outside for awhile in the sun as it later in the day and not too hot.It is always good to enjoy these sunny days here in England as rain is far too frequent!!

I am reading... Growing in Wisdom and Faith by Elizabeth George. Also still reading and enjoying Boundaries. I have learnt so much from this book and it is one you can refer to time and time again!

I am hoping... I can truly catch up with my letter writing.I did manage to send out a few letters today. Whilst the internet is quick and easy I love the personal touch a letter in the mail brings to a day! It changes an ordinary day into a special day.

I am hearing... The tv and I have the jewellery channel on. This is a favourite of mine!!

Around the house...Beautiful photos of my family and friends reminding me that my blessings are truly HUGE!!

One of my favorite things... Those pj days and relaxing. Wondering when I might next get one of these days? This week is going to be a busy one.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Days with my daughters and my honey!! Grocery shopping and how quickly this seems to come around! Stitching and reading.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... A picture of a tree in blossom in my garden. So pretty!

  6. Linda, from reading this post, I have the feeling we would be great "sitting beside each other" friends. Your sharing sound similar to how I approach life - ever needing to sit outside and ponder God.

Prayer for you in your current valley. Know you don't wait there alone.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  7. Linda, thank you for stopping by my little corner and for the google follow. I pray for all on my google follow and that includes you now. I went ahead and clicked on your follow as well and look forward to visiting.

These simple blessings you write about on this post touch my heart for some might miss them while in a valley. It is good to know your eyes are fixed on Him.

    Love the picture--gorgeous.

    Blessings dear friend.

  8. Thanks, Linda, for the reminder to focus on the simple, everyday things in life... to look around the house and enjoy the work of our hands!

Thanks for pointing us back to more simple living in love with Jesus.

I heard Elisabeth Elliot say, "When you get stuck, and don't know what else to do - just do the next thing in front of you."

Sounds like you are doing the next thing even in your hard season...

    Thanks for the testimony today.

    Blessings,
    Melanie
